I dont think that it is right for people to be starving out there and we can not help. I think that we should help and do more than just broadcast it around the world. The conditions these people are living in are horrible, the people either die of starvation of malaria because they cannot find clean water or food. We have to do something about this, people are dying and they really dont have to.
This rock means a lot to them .I just cannot believe that they carry all that weight and starve and die trying to get this rock.I find it kind of sad because they barely have anything and they barely have any help, also they have a low very low supply of money. This video just shows how we Americans take all we have for granett
Well obviously people are dying out here for a retarded reason to us(americans). But, to these people the way they live is very important.they are dying out there.Americans are very laidback compared to these people.
I never knew what it took just to have an electronical device. All of that work just to get a piece for a computer and what not. I was suprised that the porters didn't even know what the tin was going towards. That one man thought that it was to re-build the Twin Towers. I'm kind of upset people are getting hurt and are being killed for this rock. I'm even more upset that the soldiers are taking advantage of the porters and miners and are robbing them at gun point to get the money. The porters and miners only get $5 at the most! That's hardly anything. They spend all that time digging and walking, just for nothing? I thought it was cool that the miners cheered for the Americans because they were going to help out. I watched part two and I agree with the reporter. Why are we just NOW hearing/seeing this? Why didn't we hear about this months/years ago? It's us, America, ignoring other countries' problems. That's irritating, to me. I guess its the owner of the mine that didn't feel bad for what he's allowing to happen to the people of Congo. I can't believe he said, "If I didn't, someone else will." That was an awful thing to say. But I do have to say, it's not ALL theit faults. It's partly Japan's faul and all the others who use a lot of tin. If we found an alternative to tin, we can help the people of Congo and make Afica a better place. I'm so happy that the reporter took on the story and told the world what is currently happening. I hope others will see these videos, read the articles, and see what is going on, on the other side of the globe.
This is really sad, but what else can we do, but feel sympathy for these people? they really seem like they need help, but how can we give them that? this is a tough situation to fix, unless everybody pitches in.
wait, it's really awful that nobody's doing anything about it either, i guess we're waiting for some kind of initiation, for somebody else to take action first, the we'll all follow along.
i dont think its fair for the africans to work hard, not getting paid, and losing their lifes for the rocks. and that white man should have been help the africans carry those rocks.
Its sad to see this africans going through this crisis and how they have to carry them rocks on their backs that weigh more then they do. I dont think its fair there dying and starving and no help what so ever noooo not acceptable. All we can do is pray for this poor starving africans.
