  1. I would have to agree with Lady Gaga, and im not saying that just because im in love with her ha. Im saying it because i am a prime example, i have always wanted to go to the army when i grew up, now, i obviously cant.
I dont think it is right for John McCain to do this, may i say once agian that our country was built on freedom. Freedom to be whatever and whoever you are. Lets say, for example that 75% of the US Military force in general was Lay or Lesbian. John McCain would have no problem with keeping every single one of them there. The only time laws like this are sent out is when the goverment thinks they are in a safe zone, and they can just do whatever they want just because they dont think anything will happen.
All im saying is that Gay or Lesbain soliders have the same right to help protect this country as anybody else. I also dont understnad why John McCain complaining, does he not understand that these sodilers are putting their life at risk everyday while he sits comfy in his office. he needs to look at their point of view.

  2. You know, I can't really decide what side I believe is right. On the side of opposing the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' measure, I would have to say this: If they were to tell, the other soldiers would for sure treat them differently. They would tease them, hurt them, or totally ignore them, which in turn, would lead to lonliness.
There is also the side on agreeing with Lady Gaga. I do believe in freedom of speech and this is what repealing this law would be. Who said Serving gays and lesbians shouldn't be heard? They're like anyone else, except with different thoughts and actions. Why should gays and lesbians live a lie while serving? That, right there, would be wrong to put anyone through, gay or not!
I admire Lady Gaga for standing up for what she believes in. All of us want to speak out against the issues we believe in, maybe we're too afraid or we just don't know how to. But Lady Gaga is not afraid and speaks for the issues she "knows" to be true. Props to you Gaga!

  3. Ok,first of all that phone took forever to ring.hahaha.Well personally i dislike Lady Gaga. Well i can say i like her songs like pokerface and bad romance but i am not her fan.I do not hang around gays or should i say i try to stay away from gays.It is wrong and is nasty.come on two men sleeping with each other or vice versa to women sleeping with each other.ewwwwww thats nasty. The bible doesnt actually say dont be gay but the bible clearly gives what families should be like. One wife and one husband. If your going to the army and is gay and other people know that you are i would feel weird.I agree with you tyler about how you are impressed how Gaga stands up for whatshe believes but the thing is she is not standing up for the right thing.(obviously).Another thing is that i dont like mccain either. He is a crook to our nation. In conclusion i highly disagree with gays and if you are one of my friends and is gay(especially if your a guy)please dont tell me because we might have to part ways.ya digz.lol

  5. i appreciate how Lady Gaga is taking action, and how she's not asamed to show her interest in politics, ( i guess people actually listen, and kinda value what she has to say b'cause she's famous? ) unlike other celebrities, who don't use the (little) power they have for good...

  6. Wow well lady gaga opened my eyes i guess it really doesn't matter if your homosexual or strait if you want to defend our country that sound be enough. The politics and the army people need to be greatful that these people want to come and fighy. Also the government has no right to tell people they cann't koin the army because they're gay or lesbian.

  7. Here's a question: What would homosexuals think about a segregated army?

  8. This video is sooo not what I expected. But I do have a response to it. It you want to defend our country you should. Weather you are gay or not, everyone should have a right to do what they want. Yeah, I don't really believe that homosexuality is right, but I'm not gonna judge when they want to fight for my own freedom. I don't think people should chose the kind of people who should be in the army, they are fighting for our lives! I don't see the people who made this law fighting for rights! I think it's wrong, just wrong.

  9. to ad to this i can also understand on the behalf of the government why they don't want homosexuals in he army, because they don't want to them to try to hook up with some cat in the army and do stuff with them i can see why they are say no gays or lesbians, but this doesn't really give them an excuse to tell them they can't fight for our country in the U.S. Army.I'm also surprised that lady gaga to offense to this and decided to do something about unlike other celebrities who probably could care less about things like this.

  10. I think that everyone here has something good to contribute to this blog execpt desmond. You dont have to be a homophobe about everything. Gay and lesbian people are dying each minute for you jsut to live in the house you live in and to have all that "SWAG" that you "THINK" you have, and the sad truth is that you cant even be grateful for that. Thats a shame.
