Violence Vs. Non-Violence

History is full of violent revolution. Usually, revolutions begin in a non-violent way, but eventually end up becoming violent. Only a few social movements have remained non-violent throughout. The question of the week is:

When is it permissible for non-violent protests to turn violent? Is it ever appropriate?

  1. Hm I think that when it comes to protest and things like this , i think that a on-violent approach should take place. In the end more people end up dieing, and then when you want to protest you don't have that many people because everyone is dead.Even though it is hard to have a non-violent appraoh to someone or thing you don't agree with and something that makes you angry,it is always best not to react harshly because the people that do wrong; There time will come.

  2. Well, I think that non-violence protests are a thing of the past. The governments actually paid attention to them and what they had to say. But nowadays, people have to use physical violence to get noticed and to get peoples attention. I mean think about it, if it weren't for the protests in Cairro, I and others wouldn't have known that Egypt's government was messed up. Because if the violence, Egypt's people's voices were heard and their opinions voiced. Violence is not always the answer, but if its a means of getting your voice heard, then go at it!

I meax, dealixg with your problems axd learxixg to live with your fears just doesx't fix axythixg sometimes. You have to let people kxow they're doixg it wroxg if xobody does! They're mutilatixg your goverxmext whex they have xo busixess doixg so!

Opixiox 2: I hope makixg riots doesx't become a xew trexd.
